Managing Stock Adjustments

Handling returns, damages, and manual stock-takes without errors.

Keeping Your Counts Accurate

Inventory levels change for reasons other than sales. Here is how to manage them:

1. Manual Stock Adjustments

Go to Inventory > Stock Adjustment. Select a product and choose the adjustment type:

  • Damage/Expired: Subtracts from stock and records as a loss.
  • Return to Vendor: Used when sending faulty goods back to suppliers.
  • Stock-take Correction: For fixing discrepancies found during manual counts.

2. Recording the Reason

Always add a note to your adjustments. This helps in "Profit & Loss" audits later to understand why inventory is disappearing.

3. Low Stock Alerts

Set a "Minimum Stock Level" for each product. BigtinkCore will highlight these items in red on your dashboard when they need reordering.
